I’ve been writing a book

Short and sweet blog, last year I started blogging to help motivate myself and then it turned into something I shared with others.

Whilst the year ended badly through injury, 53 days and counting with no running, I used the time saved productively and set myself some new goals for 2015 – complete a bike race, complete a hilly Ultra and aim to run even further / higher.  One other thing I wanted to do was to write a book, I don’t know why but I did.  I committed to this goal and then worked out how I’d achieve it, deciding on a subject (the subject was basically my blogs), how to structure it (index written first), writing it, and then finally trying to find out out to publish it.  Luckily for me there is no longer any need to beg publishers to take on your book, you can simply publish yourself online.

I looked up Amazon Direct Publishing who make it incredibly easy, apart from the confusing USA tax form, and uploaded my book last night.  I’m not pretending it’s a great book, I think it’s has interesting topics, some of the deep and others shallow, but the point is it was originally written by me, for me, to reflect on what a great year 2014 was.  Similar to how the blogs ended up, I then decided to share the book with others in the hope it would have a positive impact on at least one other person.

Anyway, the link is here if you wish to download and read it, if you’re on Prime then it’s free, I’m not doing it for money but Amazon force you to charge so there’s the minimum figure set. I can offer it free to all on 5 days every 3 months, today is one of those days.

Hope you enjoy it, if you do then leave a review on Amazon and let others know.
